Maurice W. “Maury” Brown (1933–2023) was a lifelong Cheyenne entrepreneur, community leader, and generous supporter of Wyoming. Rising from humble beginnings, he built successful retail and energy businesses, while remaining deeply committed to giving back.

Maury believed strongly in investing in people and strengthening his community. Through decades of philanthropy and service, he supported countless local organizations, youth programs, and civic efforts across Wyoming.

In that spirit, the Maury Brown Leadership Academy is proudly supported by and named in his honor—reflecting his legacy of hard work, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to helping others succeed.
