With Wyoming’s vast geography and sparse population, we can’t do club basketball like other states….so we found a better way.
Team Rising brings together Wyoming’s top basketball talent through our Leadership Academy teams and our competitive regional teams: Powder River, High Plains, Red Desert, and Yellowstone.
Academy teams are selected based on a nomination process, and the quadrant teams hold team tryouts. Through sponsors, community support, and organization revenue, Wyoming Rising is able to offset or eliminate the cost of participation, ensuring financial barriers don't keep talented athletes from the opportunity.

Wyoming’s top rising senior basketball talent - on one team.
Wyoming Rising Academy Teams bring together the best rising senior basketball players from across Wyoming for an experience built around competition, development, leadership and connection. These teams give athletes the opportunity to train and compete at a high level while representing Wyoming Rising and learning what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves. Selection is based on basketball ability, athletic potential, character, leadership and a commitment to growth. The Academy Teams are designed to recognize Wyoming's rising talent, create meaningful opportunities and build relationships that extend beyond the basketball court.

The top basketball players in your area - on one team
Wyoming Rising Quadrant Teams bring together the top basketball talent from four regions of the state: Northeast, Southeast, Northwest and Southwest Wyoming. Each team gives athletes the opportunity to compete with elite players from their region while representing the communities and people who helped shape them. Rosters are intentionally competitive and limited to top regional talent, with Wyoming Rising providing support designed to offset or eliminate participation costs whenever possible. The goal is to create more opportunities for Wyoming athletes to compete, develop and build connections close to home—while bringing the four corners of the state together under one Wyoming Rising standard.
