the Team: The Heart of Wyoming Rising
Ten athletes. One state. A shared commitment to something bigger.
At the center of Wyoming Rising is a team unlike any other in the state.
Not just because of talent—but because of what it represents.
Each year, ten rising seniors from across Wyoming will be selected to form the Wyoming Rising team. They’ll come from different towns, different schools, and different backgrounds—but they’ll share something important:
They’ve been chosen because they lead.
More Than a Roster
This isn’t just a collection of top players.
It’s a carefully selected group of athletes who:
Compete at a high level
Elevate the people around them
Represent their communities with pride
Are ready to grow beyond the game
Each athlete will have their own story—and those stories matter.
From small towns to larger programs, from under-the-radar prospects to proven standouts, the Wyoming Rising team will reflect the full landscape of basketball in the state.
The Experience
During the summer, the team will:
Train together daily in Cheyenne
Compete in elite AAU tournaments
Travel and experience the game at a national level
Live, learn, and build relationships as a group
They’ll spend as much time off the court as on it—engaging in leadership sessions, hearing from mentors, and building a network that extends far beyond basketball.
A Brotherhood (and Sisterhood) That Lasts
What happens during those three weeks doesn’t end there.
The goal is to build lasting connections—between players, between communities, and between future leaders who will stay in touch long after graduation.
When these athletes leave for college, careers, or wherever life takes them, they won’t be leaving Wyoming behind.
They’ll be part of something that keeps pulling them back.
Follow the Journey
Throughout the summer, Wyoming Rising will document the experience—practices, games, travel, leadership sessions, and the moments in between.
This isn’t just about watching a team.
It’s about getting to know the people who represent the future of Wyoming.
